Abstract

Moodle as an open source Learning Management System (LMS) is widely accepted worldwide within academic communities. It has various facilities, providing by numerous plugins, which are applied by different adopters. The purpose of this paper is enriching this software by publishing it on the web of data. Modeling the software using an ontology which is understandable for machine, describing by RDF triples set, and linking to reliable datasets can increase its accessibility and reusability. In addition, responses of many queries about this software can be retrieved through semantic search engines by navigating semantic links. The proposed approach is applicable for publishing any other open source software on the web of data.
